These are typical double shot molds we built for AUDI car shipped to Czech Republic. The stiff part are made from PA66, and the soft part are from EVA. They are for interior electronics parts of AUDI cars. For the parts in the picture there are 3 molds all in 2K double-shot solution. The key points for the project are similar: --- Adhesiveness between EVA to the PA66. --- Sealing area between EVA and PA66. The sealing must be neat and clean. --- Final part dimension must be in tight tolerance --- Part deformation must be minimized. To achieve the above requirements, we have had pre-design meeting after making mold flow analysis. Based on mold flow report and our experience in 2K mold, involved by all of our technicians from different departments including molding experts, we have concluded best proposals to design and make the mold. After the pre-design meeting, our engineers start to make DFMEA report with our designing concept and potential failure issue in the current design. During DFMEA stage, it will be responsible by our technician manager who can write and speak very good English. We have also European technician who can help us to provide on-site face-to-face communication all through the project. By doing this, we can maximally avoid any misunderstanding from technical aspect. During this stage, information of customers’ designated injection molding machine are supposed to be provided. After all from DFMEA report approved, our engineers will start to make 3D tool design. In the 3D tool design, it will be detailed layered, and it can be layered as per customers’ requirement so it can save customers’ time and energy when checking the tool design. Function simulation in the 3D tool design will be adequately done to make sure the tool design is perfectly to go. After 3D tool design approval, we start to cut steel. Detailed weekly processing report are to be provided during the whole tooling cycle time. If any unexpected issues happened which will affect lead time and tool quality, we will first time inform customer. Because whenever a project started, we are at same rope with our customers and it is essential to keep them aware from all situation and solutions. Before mold testing, we would double confirm all requirement about the samples and mold test. Every test we will provide both videos and pictures while sending samples to customers.
